Junior Noah Singer made PC Men’s Tennis history by advancing to Sectionals with a 2nd place finish at Districts. Noah opened the tournament with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Park Hill opponent, Cuni-Mertz In a wild semi-final match, Singer won the first set 6-4 and at 1-0 in the second set, the Park Hill South opponent, Badalucco, retired. That set up a finals’ match against St Joe Central’s Hopkins. Singer lost 1-6, 0-6 to take 2nd place. Noah will face state runner up Carson Gates in Sectional play on Monday, 4PM, at Kearney High School.
4 seniors ended their PC Tennis careers today. Lawver/Percival lost their opening doubles match 0-6, 2-6, Anderson lost his opening singles match 4-6, 3-6 and senior Kunz paired with junior Klopfer lost their opening doubles match 0-6, 6-4, 3-6.
(Even though Noah plays on Monday, the banquet will go on as planned.)
